These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, online scheduling services, patient communications, and healthcare-related services. By accessing our website, scheduling an appointment, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Appointments are not confirmed until you receive confirmation from POWER ACUPUNCTURE LLC.

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify appointment schedules

  • Reschedule appointments

  • Cancel appointments because of emergencies, illness, weather, or operational needs

  • Decline or discontinue services when clinically appropriate or permitted by law

5. Insurance, Payments & Billing

POWER ACUPUNCTURE LLC currently participates with selected insurance plans, including but not limited to:

  • CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield

  • Aetna

  • Cigna

  • UnitedHealthcare

Insurance participation may change without prior notice.

Insurance eligibility and benefits are verified as a courtesy only and are not guarantees of payment or coverage.

Patients are responsible for:

  • Deductibles

  • Co-payments

  • Coinsurance

  • Non-covered services

  • Denied claims

  • Any remaining patient responsibility determined by their insurance carrier.

Patients agree to provide accurate insurance information and promptly notify the clinic of any changes to insurance coverage.

Payment for services not covered by insurance is due at the time services are rendered unless other arrangements have been approved.

Payments may be processed through Jane App, Stripe, or other authorized payment processors.

Patients may authorize POWER ACUPUNCTURE LLC to securely maintain a payment method on file through Jane App.

Outstanding balances may delay future appointments until resolved.

Prepaid treatment packages:

  • Expire three (3) months after purchase unless otherwise specified.

  • Are generally non-refundable except where required by law.

  • May be converted to clinic credit at the clinic's discretion.

Financing options may be available through third-party providers such as CareCredit.

6. Cancellation & Missed Appointments

Patients are requested to provide at least twenty-four (24) hours' notice when canceling or rescheduling appointments.

Appointments missed without sufficient notice may be subject to a $50 missed appointment fee.

Repeated missed appointments may result in restrictions on future scheduling.

7. Consent to Integrative Care

POWER ACUPUNCTURE LLC provides integrative healthcare services designed to support wellness, symptom management, rehabilitation, and quality of life.

For oncology patients, treatments are intended to support symptom management associated with cancer and conventional medical treatments, including chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery, immuno-therapy, and hormone therapy.

Our services are complementary to—not a replacement for—appropriate medical care.

Patients should continue to receive care from their physicians and other licensed healthcare providers.

No guarantee is made regarding specific treatment outcomes.

8. Treatment Risks

Patients understand that acupuncture and related therapies involve known and unknown risks.

Possible side effects include, but are not limited to:

  • Temporary soreness

  • Minor bruising

  • Mild bleeding

  • Localized swelling

  • Temporary numbness

  • Dizziness

  • Fatigue

  • Headache

  • Rare fainting

  • Skin irritation

  • Temporary aggravation of symptoms

All acupuncture needles are sterile, single-use, and disposed of according to applicable professional safety standards.

Patients understand that responses to treatment vary from person to person. Some patients may experience a temporary worsening or aggravation of existing symptoms, increased soreness, fatigue, bruising, or discomfort following treatment. These effects are generally temporary; however, patients should contact the clinic promptly if symptoms are severe, worsen significantly, or do not improve as expected.

9. Patient Responsibilities & Safety

Patient safety is a priority at POWER ACUPUNCTURE LLC.

Patients agree to:

  • Provide complete and accurate medical information.

  • Inform the practitioner of pregnancy, implanted medical devices, blood-thinning medications, allergies, recent surgeries, active infections, cancer-related complications, bone metastasis, blood count abnormalities, or changes in medical condition.

  • Inform clinic staff immediately if they experience dizziness, weakness, nausea, light headedness, pain, or any unusual symptoms before, during, or after treatment.

  • Follow all instructions provided by clinic staff regarding treatment and safe movement.

  • Request assistance before standing or changing position if feeling unsteady.

POWER ACUPUNCTURE LLC reserves the right to postpone, modify, or decline treatment whenever treatment is considered medically inappropriate or unsafe.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

10. Identification & Insurance Verification

Patients may be asked to present a valid government-issued photo identification, including but not limited to:

  • Driver's License

  • State Identification Card

  • Passport

  • Military Identification

Identification may be required to:

  • Verify patient identity

  • Prevent fraud

  • Verify insurance eligibility

  • Protect patient safety

  • Comply with legal and insurance requirements

Failure to provide requested identification or insurance information may delay treatment or claims processing.
